Everything you need to write about Steven A. Phillips and The Blood of the Crossing Saga.

Short bio (for event programs, book pages)

Steven A. Phillips is the author of The Blood of the Crossing Saga, an eight-book historical fiction series tracing a single American family from colonial Virginia to Depression-era Oklahoma. He lives in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Long bio (for features and profiles)

Steven A. Phillips grew up in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, surrounded by family stories that didn't quite match the history books. He spent more than a decade in primary sources — colonial land records, Revolutionary pension files, Cherokee removal documents, Freedmen's Bureau records, and Depression-era oral histories — before writing a single chapter of fiction. The Blood of the Crossing Saga is the result: eight novels that follow one bloodline through every major rupture in American history, from Jamestown in 1607 to the Oklahoma Dust Bowl of the 1930s. Phillips is not a trained historian, but he reads like one. He lives in Broken Arrow with his wife and youngest daughter.
